alright, so by classics we're talking about the 60s, yeah? Fiddler on the Roof and Phantom and The Fantasticks? if so then I've got plenty of potential dates up my sleeve

By classics I mean Singing in the Rain, Anchors Aweigh- early 50s and before! I've seen flicks since then, yeah? But honestly the 40s was really when I swung. What a time to be alive... well until punk got introed in the 70s but that was like a spiritual awakening for me lol

When was the last musical anyway? Moulin Rogue? blimey i think that was 10 years ago....

Moulin Rouge, the film?? yeah, that was quite a while ago... although honestly I didn't love it, I know, it's blasphemy, etc. etc. I've heard it all :P so then what have you seen that's come out since the 50s, I'll narrow down the possible list that way!

yeah i dont manage to catch live shows as often as i like. back home i ran clubs 2 so that took up my evenings.

everybody in school was bloody obsessed with it so I never saw it until later haha but when I saw it I regretted waiting that long, it's quite good

same with Rent for that matter. and Spring Awakening, so there's three dates right there ;)
